About Me

Hello! My name is Savannah Fox and I am currently wrapping up my time as a student at the University of Oregon, majoring in public relations in the School of Journalism and Communications.

I consider myself a small-city girl, having been raised in Santa Barbara, California and attending college in Eugene, Oregon. I have loved the feel and comfort of smaller city life however, upon my graduation in the spring I plan to expand my horizons and move to a metropolitan city to pursue my career in PR and marketing.

You may be wondering what I do in my spare time. In the past I worked as an event coordinator for a nonprofit organization in Eugene. I helped create social media content, and a press release for the organization. I also aided in recruiting volunteers for the fundraising event, and helped put the event on in Portland, Oregon.

Now I work as a freelance marketing, social media, and public relations coordinator for a renowned national produce company. I aid the company in editing articles and press releases, creating customer relation emails, and brand campaigns and contests. I also serve as the social media guru helping create the thematic social media campaigns every month and implementing the social media posting. In addition to my social media work, I also manage and write the company’s blog, so I have some prior experience in blog writing, which I expect to come in handy here.

I am a people person who loves telling stories and conversing face to face, however in today’s times this is not enough and blogs are a great way to create relationships and educate people on particular topics in an online setting. This is exactly what I aim to do through this blog, which I hope you find useful and interesting. While you will be getting to know me through an online platform, I hope that my personality and enthusiasm will shine through my writing, so you feel you are getting to know me on a more personal level.
